The lace-up sandal trend is one which has been seen on both the runway and the street for SS15 and I personally love it, so I knew I had to buy into it. There is a variety on offer in stores at the moment at different price marks but when I saw these in Primark for £10 about a month or so ago I just couldn't resist. They are a black faux suede finish with pointed toes and they lace up to the ankle, though there are zips at the back so you don't have to unlace them each time you wear them. I particularly like that the toes are covered and also when flats have a pointed toe it is always a plus for me as they elongate the legs without the need of a heel. Being from Primark they aren't the best quality but they're actually surprisingly comfortable as well as super flattering on the feet. Oddly, I got a UK size 4 (I am usually between a 5 or 6) and they fit perfectly which is lucky as they were the last pair in the store.
If you can still get your hands on these then do as they are perfect for the warmer weather and I haven't stopped wearing them since I bought them because they just go with everything. I am not usually a lover of summer shoes - ankle boots are my absolute favourites - but I think this trend has definitely changed that this season!
I will most likely do a 'trend watch' post (see others here) soon about more of my lace-up sandal picks so stay tuned for that if you are interested and if you want more before then you can check out my Sassique scrapbook page on them here.
Thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely week!
